1. Why should I maintain my looks as I age?
How you look has a dramatic effect on how you feel about yourself. Your self-esteem and confidence directly impacts your life both professionally and socially. Maintaining your looks as you age is a positive step toward being confident, happy and fulfilled with who you are as an individual.
2. What do you do in the first visit?
Your individual concerns are discussed, so that your surgical choices can be fully explained including the risks, limitations and potential complications. Digital photography is taken and the proposed surgery described. You will be informed of all aspects of the procedure, including all expenses.
3. When can I go back to work after surgery?
This varies depending on the treatment. We generally recommend the following:
- Breast enlargement is a day procedure, so you don’t have to stay in hospital overnight and most people are back at work in a week.
- Breast lifting and breast reduction patients are back at work in 2 weeks.
- After Liposuction, depending on the number of areas, you can be back at work from a couple of days to a week.
- Facial surgery usually requires about 2 weeks off, and the more major Tummy Tucks 3-4 weeks.
4. Is Cosmetic Surgery expensive?
At St James Clinic we truly believe cosmetic surgery is an investment in yourself. It is an investment that repays itself many times over in higher self-esteem, higher self-confidence and positive wellbeing. 5. Is Cosmetic Surgery the best operation for me?
That has to be entirely your decision. If you wish to fully discuss your treatment options in detail, please feel free to arrange an appointment with one of our Surgeons. « return to faq's
